** I truly love this song. Even though I don't really understand the meaning, it still moves my deeply. There are two versions of it, one by Jane Zhang (official OST) and the other by the movie's lead actress, Vicky Zhao Wei. I don't know if it's because she's the main actress, thanks to which she can "feel" the lyrics better, I felt in love with Zhao Wei's version right at first sight, which I think conveys deeper emotions than Jane Zhang's. I'll write more about the song for sure...

I've just watched Painted Skin yesterday and I think I understand why you don't like it because so do I. It's a question for me how come this movie received so many awards :-|, except for one awarded thanks to this song (which was composed by a Japanese musician T_T). No profound meaning, the acting is quite stiff (but I found Zhao Wei's expression is quite good), movie magic is poor, martial arts scenes are boring... It took me 2 days to download the movie and now I find no reason to keep it in my hard drive any longer :-|
ReplyDeleteI'm following Still, Marry Me but not in an as exciting mood as I had with WISFC. I love the first stills from Cinderella's Sis, too. But Son Ye Yin isn't my personal taste, so I'm still skeptical about this (her acting gave me too much frustration in the past :( )
